Khouzestan Steel Company (KSC is one of the biggest Steel Company in Iran. KSC is operating with 5 Direct reduction Modules, which three of them are originally supplied by Korf and is Midrex modules of 400 series.
Purpose of the project as turn key project is to increase the capacity of the plant up to 1 Mio TPY.
The general philosophy that have been considered to proceed with the upgrade project is as follow:
 
 
  • The Furnace volume increase by thin wall refractory
  • Reduction gas flow increase by adding Compressor 
  • Reformer up gradation with 10’’ tube 
  • Recuperator up gradation to increase temperature of Feed gas and Combustion Air
  • Various auxiliaries to be reviewed & upgraded
  • The bottleneck area of concerns highlighted by client
